Marlborough Delights Tour

Explore the diverse Marlborough environment; native-bush clad coastal splendour, sauvignon producing flatlands and rugged braided-river valleys.

This has been described as the "slow food" tour: savour world-renowned sauvignon with fresh Marlborough Sounds seafood, wild river trout or Canterbury lamb.

Day 1 Wellington Arrival: Join us for a warm-up ride around the Miramar Peninsula, with regular stops at famous coffee houses en route. The evening meal will be at a chic inner city establishment.

Day 2 Inter-Islands: After the morning sailing on an inter-island Ferry, ride the beautiful Queen Charlotte Drive. Regarded as "one of the most scenic roads on earth" it features New Zealand native bush, views across the fiords and endless vantage points. To cap off a great day, enjoy a multi-course degustation dinner at Herzog Winery & Restaurant.

Day 3 Sauvignon Blanc: Spin through the vines that produce international acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc. Finish with lunch at Allan Scott Winery. 

Day 4 The Sounds: A tough but rewarding ride along the Kenepuru Peninsula through native bush with a never ending and breathtaking panorama of fiords and quiet coves. Perhaps a quick dip in the clear waters before a water taxi trip back to the "mainland"; or perhaps a ride back? Dine tonight at a local hotspot.

Day 5 Wairau River Valley: Ride beside the remarkable beauty of the braided Wairau River, past rural pastoral scenes and wineries, with a backdrop of alternating bush-clad or forested rolling hills, and further away, bald rugged mountains. We say goodbye over lunch at Wither Hills winery, before dropping you at Blenheim airport.
