Auckland Cycling

Auckland is New Zealand's biggest city and the international gateway to New Zealand.  Wherever you stay in Auckland, you're never far from breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches, idyllic holiday islands, outstanding food and wine, great shopping...and...great cycling.

Rides start from 2 hours in duration, to the entire day, on both the mainland and the gulf islands, and within the metropolitan and/or rural environment. Choose one of our featured trips below, or talk to us about your own excursion. 

Waiheke Island:
Start the day with a ferry crossing of the beautiful Hauraki harbour to Waiheke Island, and step off into one of the favourite holiday destinations for Aucklander's. Quite roads, stunning coastal scenery and a huge variability in island vistas await. Pick your course from 20km - 60km of undulating riding, featuring many short, steep climbs (This is either a Half Day or Full Day tour)

Scenic Drive:
We start in downtown Auckland, then head west to the Waitakere Mountains. The road over these hills is known as Scenic Drive, and it does live up to that name. Lined with native bush, and featuring a welcome calmness, it offers sweeping views west to the rugged West Coast and east over Auckland City and the inner harbour.  To get to these views is no easy task however with an 11km uphill. A rewarding 8km descent and ride back to downtown town Auckland complete this 80km circuit. (This is a Half Day tour)

Hunua Ranges:
Situated 25min drive south-east of Auckland, Clevedon Village is the Start and end point for this 105km circumnavigation of the Hunua Mountain Range. The ride features interesting and varied rural landscapes, and stunning coastal views, and very quite country roads.  There are 4 tough climbs amongst the numerous ascents on the course. (This is a Full Day tour)
